Haul | Makeup Revolution London Review

* Purchased

Makeup Revolution is a brand that seems to have taken the beauty world by storm 2014-2015. It literally seems like every month they bring out something new. A brand known for seeing a gap in the market for sleek high end looking makeup and product dupes, it has made a killing over the past year and is now well known all over social media. Makeup Revolution have managed to create affordable dupes for those who watch Youtube gurus and lust after what beauty bloggers talk about, but cannot necessary afford to purchase or refuse to pay so much. I also think this brand has helped stop some people taking to eBay to buy dangerous fakes with unknown chemicals. Good for you Makeup Revolution...
Now if i am honest i was a little sceptical of trying makeup revolution products (as I've tried so called 'dupes' from other affordable companies and been very disappointed, not just with the quality but with the customer service too) but i am actually very pleasantly surprised with this brand. Their products are similar in quality to that of Sleek Makeup only they have better social networking skills lol, and of course friendly customer service and quick postage. I can be a bit of a high end makeup snob when it comes to some products especially lip products, but i will say that i will be reaching for a couple of the lip products i purchased quite a lot.

When it came to my haul I thought carefully about the products i wanted to try from this brand after seeing a few of my Instagram friends raving about their lip products it was the first thing i scoped out on their website and i had to pick up the so called hourglass powders dupe as i love my ambient lighting powders. I couldn't bring myself to buy another eyeshadow palette as i haven't found many drugstore eye shadows to blend well, nor have good pigmentation or lasting power, but i am going to step back out of my comfort box and give a few of their eyeshadow palettes and foiled eyeshadows a try for my next haul.

Here are the lovely goodies i picked up:

Makeup Revolution The One Blush Sticks

I have been wanting to buy some of the Nars multiples for ages but somehow haven't quite got round to doing yet, so when i saw reviews online about how nice Makeup Revolutions dupes were i had to try them. I did want to buy about 6 of them but i contained myself and ended up purchasing just 2 to try out first before committing to anymore. MUR's sticks are called 'The One Blush Sticks' and i picked up 2 matte shades in Meet Malibu (a matte dark brown) & Matte Rush (a beautiful coral). The sticks are aimed to be used on the cheek or lips, but i personally will be using on my cheeks. The Meet Malibu when arrived actually appeared more warm toned than i expected it to be so i will update on how i get on with it. Matte rush is more beautiful in person than online so i cannot wait to wear it this summer with a glowing tan. I definitely need to get the 2 pink shades for this spring.

Radiance Lights Palette

When i saw the lovely Miss Makeup Magpie talk about the Radiance lights highlighter powders i decided to pick them up to see how they compare to my hourglass ambient lighting powders, and if they could be a more affordable everyday alternative. I must admit the packaging is nice and sleek its right up my ally, and you get a good amount of product too. I like the cute swirl design and i feel this could travel quite well also. I cannot wait to test this out.

Velour Lip Creams

As a bit of a lip product junkie i definitely gravitated towards the Velour lip creams. Online i felt the colours looked lighter and more wearable for daytime than they were when they arrived. The shades i picked up were: Not one for Playing games (Mid tone purple) Sweet Boy with a big mouth (bright bubblegum pink), Don't bring me down (a watermelon pink) & Move your mouth Forever (a peachy nude). Long names for lip products but cute never-the-less. I think i will mostly reach for the shades Move your mouth forever and Not one for playing games, as I'm not really a girl who goes for bright lips everyday. Don't bring me down is a great shade for summer.

Lip Lava Liquid Lipstick

I picked up 2 of the lip lava liquid lipsticks. Forgiven & Tremor are the 2 lip lava shades i chose. These are actually my favourite buy of all that i ordered. Both shades are right up my ally. I am going to have to pick up Shockwave and Unleash also.

Make Up Revolution products can be purchased through Superdrug or through their website below.

I found postage was ok, it took around 5 days to receive. Everything was packaged well, i was very surprised when my package arrived. I do love the black and gold packaging. I cannot wait for the next Makeup revolution haul i make. I will be writing up more in depth reviews and swatches on the products i purchased over the next week or so.

What do you love from Make Up Revolution?
