Review | BECCA Ombre Nudes Eye Palette Review

* Gifted - PR Sample

I was so excited and taken aback when i saw the goodies that BECCA Cosmetics had kindly sent to me. I literally squealed at my postman and ripped open my package like a 5 year old at Christmas time. After the disappointment of realising the Champagne pop highlighter was missing in my package (they forgot to put it in, sniff sniff) i got over that spoilt brat moment and became super excited to play with everything i had very generously received eeek....
Becca Beauty Style Director Kerry had got my skin-tone match spot on. My favourite item in the whole collection i received was the BECCA Ombre Nudes eyeshadow palette. I have a huge addiction to eyeshadow palettes and i am so happy i had this join my wonderful palette family.

everything i was super blessed to receive, thank you!

I find the shades in the palette to be perfect for a neutral loving girl like me. I own a lot of eye shadows and if i am honest i can be a bit critical when it comes to eye shadows and their pigmentation, longevity and application nowadays (#eyeshadowsnob lol). As i entered my 30's i have started to develop more fine lines around my eyes as well as my eyes becoming more hooded with excess skin (after numerous pregnancies and weight gain & loss over the years) meaning that now i no longer have a natural eye crease, therefor i prefer smooth eye shadows that don't fall into the lines and crease up. Resulting in drawing the wrong attention to my eyes. I have found good relationships between myself and eye shadows from brands like Makeup Geek, Kiko, Burberry & Tom Ford so i was very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the eye shadows in the BECCA Ombre Nude palette.

The palette contains 8.5g of product and consists of five neutral eye shadows all with matte finishes. I would describe them more as muted neutrals or warmer tones. So this palette is ideal for anyone who like myself loves warm matte eye shadows. The shades are not unique and yes the shades are dupeable in other palettes by other brands out there, but i love the compact size of this palette and with it's easy click-close plastic case with interior mirror, it is perfect for travel when i am applying my makeup on the go. It also fits beautifully into my Muji acrylic storage for easy access.

BECCA reformulated their eye shadows after discontinuing their single eye shadows, which i actually personally liked but these are even softer and silkier in texture with way better colour pay off and longevity.  Because the powders are so soft a couple of them do have slight fall out, but i just remember to tap off the excess on my brush before applying, the colour pay-off is worth it, plus i tend to find this problem with nearly all matte eye shadows. The eye shadow's in the palette can also be used to fill in sparse eyebrows and shadow 5 is beautiful used wet to create a natural looking liner. The center shade is also great for contouring. Such a versatile little palette.

Shadows L-R:
1 - Matte Light Peach Cream
2 - Light-Medium Warm Brown
3 - Medium Neutral Chocolate Brown
4 - Medium-Dark Brown with slight Warm Undertone
5.) Rich Dark Brown with a Red undertone....

Swatches

 A little something that i love is that the eyeshadow formula is free of Parabens, Fragrance (something i hate with products that touch my eyes), Sulfates & Phthalates, it also contains Green Coffee Oil which helps to awaken the eyes and smooth out the lids. Making this palette perfect for a sensitive eyed girl like myself with fine lines. I am glad to have made the BECCA Ombre Nudes Eye palette a staple in my everyday makeup routine and have pretty much reached for it everyday since receiving. I hope BECCA Releases more eyeshadow palettes and hopefully more single eye shadows again in the future because i would be one of the first to buy (plus their eyeshadow singles packaging was adorable).

The Becca Ombre Nudes Eyeshadow Palette retails in the UK for £33-£34 though Space Nk, QVC & Cult Beauty. It is available for $40 in the USA through Becca Cosmetics, Ulta and Sephora

Are you a #BeccaBeauty and will you be picking up the Ombre Nudes Eyeshadow Palette?
