Review | Zoeva Cocoa Blend Eyeshadow Palette Review - plus swatches

* Purchased

I have added a few of the Zoeva eyeshadow palettes to my palette collection over the past month. I decided to purchase the 'Zoeva Cocoa Blend' palette first and have already mentioned it in my Go to palettes Autumn Eyelids blogpost. So, i thought i owed it to review this palette first. I can honestly say straight up that the Zoeva eyeshadow palettes are Amazing! Not only are they affordable at only £15.50 each but they are insanely pigmented, soft and very blendable. I have loved Zoeva brushes for well over 2 years now and they are still going strong in my collection, with me adding new individual brushes to my collection every couple of months. Zoeva seems to produce a nice collection of consecutively great quality products, so i am looking forward to dabbling in more of their makeup products....

Just like the brushes the eyeshadows are amazing quality, in the same quality range as Urban Decay, Lorac or Too Faced but are definitely more affordable. I am a bit of an eyeshadow palette hoarder and a snob, the quality has to be amazing not only swatched on the fingers but also applied with a brush. So many eyeshadow palettes seem amazingly pigmented upon swatching but apply disappointingly on the eyelids, i can say that Zoeva has not disappointed in any of their eyeshadows...

I love the warm chocolate notes that this palette has, its a fantastic palette for creating a simple everyday natural look or a rich dramatic smokey eye. All of the Zoeva eyeshadow palettes come in sleek and sturdy cardboard packaging with a magnetic closure. Each palettes packaging design matches the theme of the palette and compliments the eyeshadows inside. This particular palette has a light brown almost taupe and gold print design, which you would expect to see on a posh decadent box of chocolates. There are 10 eyeshadows in the palette, each weighing 1.5g so you actually get a good amount of product for your money. The only thing i feel could make the palette better is an interior mirror which would make this palette great for travel. I also really like that Zoeva make their products in Europe ( Italy to be precise ) and don't test on animals. All of their products are free from Parabens, Mineral Oil, Phthalates and fragrance, the eyeshadows are also enriched in Vitamin E which is perfect for my sensitive ageing eyes......

The Zoeva Cocoa Blend contains a range of warm-toned chocolate eyeshadow shades, with matte, satin and shimmer finishes. Every single shadow is highly pigmented, silky soft, long-lasting and they blend beautifully. The palette consists of of deep, rich and dark eyeshadows, however there are 2 light shades to balance the darker shades out. It has everything you need from Highlight shades, crease colours and all over vibrant lid shades. I like that each eyeshadow is labelled so that you know which shades you are reaching for, considering its a cocoa inspired palette i thought there would be been more cocoa appropriate names.

Zoeva Cocoa blend Swatches L-R: Pure Ganache - Substitute for Love - Freshly Toasted - Infusion - Delicate Acidity

I love all of the shadows but my personal favourites are 'Substitute for love', which is probably my most used shadow as its simply stunning to warm up the crease. Also 'Freshly toasted' to add more warmth in the crease and 'Infusion' is perfect for adding definition to the outer corner of the eye or to create a smokey eye. Both 'Subtle blend' and 'Delicate acidity' are stunning packed all over the lids.

The Zoeva Cocoa Blend palette retails for £15.50 in the UK with free shipping through Beauty Bay. Zoeva cosmetics ship their products worldwide so if you are the USA you can buy the palette directly through the Zoeva website for $21.50 and they have a flat rate shipping cost of $16, Space NK USA also sells Zoeva.

I will also we writing reviews on the Naturally Yours and En Taupe palettes so keep your eyes peeled.
