I really enjoy doing these battles between a high-end eyeshadow palette and an affordable 'dupe' palette. I have already done a post on the Lorac Pro and Makeup Revolution palette which you can view here and i thought with the party season now being here in full effect why not show the Urban Decay Naked 1 Palette dupe i have found; Seeing as the metallic, high shine eyeshadows in these palettes are perfect for the party season. Everyone who knows about makeup knows about the infamous Urban Decay Naked eyeshadow palettes, they started the whole neutral eyeshadow palette trend and every other cosmetic brand has followed suit since, an many seeing a gap in the market to create more affordable dupes.

I was doing a post on what makeup i will be wearing for Christmas this year and i decided that i wanted to do this blogpost to show the red lip products i am loving for this festive season, and would highly recommend to anyone who is wanting to wear a red lip during the holidays. In the winter i love simple natural healthy looking skin with a lit-from-within glow, super black lashes, a thin band of black liquid-liner and a red lip.

Considering i have been on a massive red-lip kick throughout the month of December ( I guess it helps me to start feeling festive ) I was especially happy to have received the Limited Edition Metallic lips Lipstick in Glitz. MUA Cosmetics decided to release it exclusively for the holiday's a few months after they released their original seven Autumn/Winter Collection ( Which i reviewed here ). I personally love the metallic liquid lipsticks by Makeup Academy and i also love a rich and glossy red lip, so i instantly had high hopes for this...

Some months back i was very kindly sent some liquid lipsticks by a new upcoming UK cosmetics brand called 'Labelle,' who's products i had been enjoying admiring across Instagram, so i was over the moon when they contacted me to say that they love the style of my photography and would i be interested in reviewing some of their products. Yes please!!!
So, Labelle are a company who sell makeup products but have recently started to branch out a bit more creating their own line of cosmetics and makeup tools. They currently have matte liquid lipsticks, standard liquid lipsticks and makeup brushes and are also in the process of creating a foundation which is what i am most excited about. A lot of thought and time goes into each product they create so i am excited to see what the future holds for them. I personally love investing my time and money into small growing brands, you can often find hidden little gems and i like to support companies i am passionate about especially if they come from the UK.

As seen on the A/W catwalk by designers like Prada and Donna Karan the Autumn/Winter 2015 skin trend is all about Flawless luminosity, achieving glowing, fresh, dewy looking skin. So, expect the strobing trend to continue through until spring 2016. The key to the A/W trend is keeping the dewiness in the centre of the face pairing with creamy highlighters and creamy blushes on the cheeks. Having dewy radiant-looking skin is something that can be already natural for people with oily skin but we are talking dewy healthy looking skin here, not grease ball. Many of us with Oily/Combination skin feel as if we should only wear matte foundations, and yes many matte foundations are great for helping achieve the total opposite of oily and to mattify the skin. I personally find myself only wearing flawless matte foundations on nights out throughout the colder months, because in the summer i usually favor more sheer-light foundations so that my makeup doesn't slide off of my face. However i find my skin get dryer in the winter time too and matte foundations can cling to my dry patches, not a look i personally like. So i usually find myself gravitating towards satin or Demi-matte finishes. However this year i have decided to follow the years trend and thought i would share all of my foundation recommendations for helping to achieve that flawless dewy look that flatters oily/combination skin. I have also included setting powders which will be needed to help set the oily areas and prevent that unforgiving grease ball look....

Whilst out doing a spot of sightseeing in London i happened to walk past the Urban Decay store in Covent Garden. Directly in the front of the entrance lit up like an angel on a pedestal, was the new Urban Decay Gwen Stefani palette. I ran in asked the lovely sales woman for it and whipped out my card quicker than you could say "could you please enter your pin".... I was a woman on a mission and i blame MakeupbyCheryl for this purchase, she is a huge influence in many of my cosmetics purchases. Firstly can we talk about the stunning packaging!!!!... and there i was thinking Urban Decay couldn't create anything anymore as visually stunning as the Naked Smoky palette ( wrong! ). Not only is the packaging aesthetically pleasing for a gold packaging addict like myself but the quality of most of the eyeshadows blew me away....

It has been a couple of months since i last did a monthly favourites on my blog and I warn you that there are A LOT of products this month, so i would advise you grab a nice warm cup of tea and relax.... November was a super-fun month for me when it came to trying out new makeup items, especially as i was quarantined for a couple of weeks with my 1 year old who had chicken pox. So i used my time to play with new makeup items and found myself wearing makeup almost every day testing things out. I have been very fortunate to have been sent a lot of new products over the past few months from quite a few various companies and brands, so i have felt like a kid in a toy shop all month. I found lots of new fab quality makeup-brushes and eyeshadow palettes this month. I have always had an eyeshadow addiction, but most of the time i don't bother to apply eyeshadow everyday. However, during these colder months i enjoy experimenting with my eyeshadows and highlighters more than than anything else, therefor you can expect to see quite a few of those throughout this post. So lets jump on into it.....
