A New Release By Amly Botanicals | The Digital Detox Silver Rich Face Mist

I thought that i would start off explaining a little more about Amly Botanicals and how they came about. Amly Botanicals is a small British Skincare Brand founded by friends Kerry Moore and Lisa Smallpeice. Both Lisa and Kerry share a love of natural beauty products and after Lisa moved to Hawthbush Farm situated in the East Sussex Countryside with her family, they noticed the land was virtually untouched. Boasting of 140 acres of organic land, complete with beautiful untouched wild-flower meadows and hedgerows full of wild herbs and medicinal plants (i bet it's breathtakingly beautiful!?) - I have uploaded a snippet from their youtube below. They soon started looking for a water source and this is where they discovered a water-spring running beneath the wild meadow. They decided to bottle this incredible silver-rich water source, basing their entire skincare line around it and Amly Botanicals (which Amly is actually the Old English name of the organic wild-flower meadow) was born.

They wanted to create a clean natural skincare line free from nasties like: parabens, synthetic fragrances, sulphates, GMOs, PEGs, mineral oil, silicon and animal-derived ingredients. Creating only clean handmade, cruelty-free, vegan friendly products. The Amly 'Radiance Boost' Silver Rich Face Mist was their first creation, created to be a first in a lineup of' 'silver-rich inspired' face mists. Did you know that every fresh batch of Amly silver-rich face mists takes 8 weeks to produce?! All of the organic flowers and native herbs are extracted using the gentle and slow process of hydro-distillation. (where the plants are left to soak and are heated, leaving the oil and water separated using condensation). Then the floral hydrosols and essential oils are hand blended into the silver-rich water. Every ingredient within each bottle is inspired by their East Sussex landscape using the wild plants that live on the land. Lisa and Kerry were determined to create beauty products that not only work, but remained as pure as possible. I think it is because of the natural sources they use and their passion and ethos, that this brand is so beautiful! I honestly have the utmost respect for them both. Every product they create is based around the Silver-rich water, due to it's anti-bacterial and anti-microbial healing properties. Which makes for a fantastic base for a skincare product (find out more about why silver is good for your skin here). Lisa and Kerry aim to create several mists to correspond to a various lifestyle needs, and each and every one will cater to all skin-types.

The Amly face mists can be used post-cleansing as a hydrating toner to a balance out your skin ready for your next products; As a post-makeup setting spray to help powders to blend seamlessly into the skin, and add a beautiful dewy glow; And they can even act as a moisturising pick-me-up throughout the day. Each mist is designed to protect your skin from environmental challenges and give a good sense of well-being at the same time. The Amly Face mists have become a firm handbag staple for me. Not only are they a must-have product as part of my morning and evening skincare routines, but they act as an uplifting refresher when I'm feeling a little rundown, unmotivated and lazy throughout the day. In fact i always have an Amly face mist close by me when i am blogging away at my computer.

All of the Amly mists come housed within the chic Miron Glass bottles, with the best nozzles that honestly disperse the most finest mist! (I'm quite the nozzle snob when it comes to face mists). The reason why Miron glass is so amazing is because it works like a natural filter blocking complete spectrum of visible light & allowing a part of the product inside to be permeable for radiation in the spectral range of UVA, and infra-red light. Thus lengthening the stability & potency of the product inside without the use of any parabens or preservatives. Pretty amazing huh? However i still always store my skincare products out of direct sunlight to help preserve my products longer. May Lindstrom (Link), MUN Skin (Link), De Mamiel (Link), Dafnas (Link), Kahina Giving Beauty (Link), Bella Aura (Link), La Belle Lune (Link), Vintners Daughter (Link) and Lina Hanson (Link) are other wonderful brands that also use Miron Glass packaging.

I am happy to finally say that my Amly Radiance Boost Face Mist now has a sister, the second member of the Amly Alchemy Family.....

The Amly Digital Detox Silver-Rich Face Mist has more of a woodsy, floral aroma than the original Radiance Boost Mist, which is much lighter & delicate in comparison. With strong woody and floral notes of  Jasmine, Juniper, Cedarwood, Ylang Ylang, Rose Geranium & Frankincense this mist is especially perfect for the Spring and summer months. Bring the outside sunshine, inside. DD is made specifically to protect skin cells, detoxify and de-stress by promoting clarity of mind. Exposure to electromagnetic fields emitted from computers and mobile devices in our everyday lives, really can affect our energy levels and even irritate our skin. I mean how many of you find you have dry itchy eyes, or dehydrated skin after sitting in front of a phone or computer screen all day long? Exactly! The Digital Detox mist is the perfect preventative-measure against the negative side-effects of technological devices, making it a wonderful desk companion for any of us who are exposed to one of more digital devices every day. Keep it at your desk and enjoy using throughout the day to boost energy levels and maintain skin vitality. Not only is Digital detox perfect for those of us stuck behind a computer desk, but it is also the perfect travel companion. Whether it be through experiencing the stress of the London underground commute or mid way through a long flight, this mist is the perfect skin protector, hydrator and pick-me-up in one.

Packed full of natures minerals & antioxidants that help to shield against environmental aggressors and daily airborne pollutants, it is also chocked full of ingredients rich in hydration, in small molecules to really penetrate the skin faster battling dehydration. Frankincense, Niaouli and Yarrow essential oils work in harmony to help detoxify the skin; Himalayan Salts & Magnesium help to shield against damaging electromagnetic frequencies. Marine Algae and Salicorne extract have the ability to prevent dehydration and protect the skin from environmental stresses by strengthening the skin's lipid barrier; and ingredients like Ylang Ylang, Juniper, Orange Blossom, Cedarwood and Rose Quartz help to de-stress and improve concentration. Making this the perfect mist come midday when that afternoon fatigue kicks in, or even if you are just experiencing a stressful day and need an extra boost. Just like with the original radiance boost Silver Rich mist you can transform yourself into a beautiful countryside-meadow daydream with just a few delicate spritzes, and come back refreshed and revamped ready to take on whatever is thrown at you.

With notes somewhat similar to the May Lindstrom Jasmine Garden but with benefits much greater, i would say if the MLJG is out of your reach, definitely give the Digital Detox a try. Especially as its £27 cheaper and in my opinion much more pleasant.

Shake well (this is very important, as it is packed full of nutrient rich ingredients that need to be shaken before every use to disperse through) then close your eyes and spray liberally onto the face. Inhale deeply to allow the aromatic oils to stimulate the senses, relax your mind and help you recharge.
