Hey there! I'm Jamey and I am the person behind 'Jamey-LynnLoves©'. A blog where I feel at home and share with you all the things that I am currently loving ( and occasionally not ) whilst also sharing some life experiences, knowledge and tips along the way. You can expect to see mostly beauty posts, thorough in-depth reviews, swatches, hauls and wishlists... all with my full honesty and a touch of glam. I like to try to show my creativity and personality through my photos with them being romantic, chic and pretty. Through my writing you will see my random and somewhat-sarcastic sense of humour peek through, hopefully i can make you giggle a little sometime.
Before being a blogger I am a mom and a support worker first. I am blessed with 4 wonderful children who make sure that there is Never a Dull Moment in my life. We reside together in a beautiful little village situated between Cambridge City and Newmarket town. I enjoy an array of things like Photography, Art, Animals ( especially Bunnies and Horses ), Ballet, Flowers, Cooking & Food, Reading, Jogging & Hiking, Meditation, Home Decor, Shopping, Watching Beauty Videos on Youtube, Gardening, Travelling, Sightseeing and pretty much anything that's Creative and Beauty-Related.
As for Beauty, I guess that you could say that I have a slightly unhealthy addiction to beauty products in particular conscious and green skincare products. Of course I am also a huge lover of makeup ( favouring natural makeup looks ) hair products, cruelty free perfumes and candles. I enjoy buying newly released products ( and am very kindly sent a fair bit too ) and exploring new trends that will suit my lifestyle. I can be a creature of comfort at times, so I often stick to the same 'quality' brands i'm used to, but am always open to trying new exciting brands. I'm definitely more of a quality over quantity kind of girl and i won't just hoard products for the sake of having a 'huge' collection. I do have a makeup and skincare collection larger than your average person, as being a blogger I am always testing new things out. I personally prefer to keep hold of products I actually enjoy using, and share them with you on my little corner of the internet. I will say that I can have pretty high standards and expectations ( I blame my Libra star sign for this; ) but it just means what I am recommending is of good quality. I enjoy the challenge of finding affordable dupes of high-end products so you will also see dupe posts throughout on this blog. Some of my favourite makeup brands to date are Tom Ford, It Cosmetics, Dior, Charlotte Tilbury and Maxfactor.
I naturally have curly hair which took me just shy of 30 years to embrace. Starting my natural hair journey has been a long and hard process, but a rewarding on at that. I mainly use natural haircare brands like Shea Moisture & Mahogany Naturals ( also OGX), with products that promise to tame my dry and frizzy curly hair but also help it to grow stronger and remain healthy. So, you will occasionally see hair products grace my blog also, along with hair updates, weaves, extensions and local hair salons that i recommend.
My skin type is Combination Oily and it is dehydrated and easily congested. I am oily through my t-zone all year round ( being extra oily in the summer ), Dry under the eyes and pretty normal across the cheeks ( with redness around my nose ). Now I am in my thirties I am starting to show early signs of ageing around my eyes and have more obvious larger pores and blackheads, so i look for skincare products that can help with the early signs of ageing, help combat blocked pores and brighten the skin, hydrate and reduce redness. I love an array of skincare products from Korean Beauty Brands like Cosrx, Klairs and Missha. Scientific Breakthrough brands like Perricone MD, DR Dennis Gross and Deciem; and Green or Hollistic Brands like May Lindstrom, Kypris and A.S Apothecary. Skincare is my largest beauty investment and my biggest beauty addiction. I am a firm believer in self care, from the inside out.
